Eggs were rationed during WW2 in Britain, but you were allowed to keep chickens to provide off ration eggs for you and your family. However, not everyone could keep chickens for extra sustenance due to where they were living.

Excelsior produced these postal egg boxes so you could post out eggs to friends or relatives to boost their egg ration.

These reproduction boxes are supplied flat packed – ready cut out – but will require glueing and assembling (glue not included).

They comprise of a top and bottom, separators and corrugated packing as shown.

Supplied with full assembly instructions.

PLEASE NOTE: Eggs are not included. Rubber eggs can be purchased. The eggs measure approximately 55 mm tall.

NOT recommended to post eggs through the current postal system! You're not that daft - but it needed to be mentioned.
